Big 12, Pac-12 nix talks of potential merger or partnership with Big 12 still considering all options

The  leagues currently raided by the SEC and Big Ten,

respectively, were discussing numerous opportunities

The Big 12 and Pac-12 have ended talks about a capacity

merger or partnership after multiple conversations between the conferences

across the closing couple of weeks. The Big 12 in the long run walked faraway

from the negotiating desk Monday night time after reviewing

its alternatives, resources inform CBS Sports' Dennis Dodd

The Big 12 reportedly approached the Pac-12 first with the leagues

discussing options inclusive of a full merger, pooling tv rights or a 

scheduling partnership, in keeping with ESPN. Ultimately, the Big 

12 believed a merger might be most useful but determined it had

better alternatives as including many of the Pac-12's programs

could now not help the league notably increase its media rights revenue.
